Waste

There are two factors to waste.

• How much waste you produce, and
• How you deal with the waste that you produce

Clearly minimising waste production is a good start, and part of running an efficient organisation. Recycling as much of your waste as possible and then using the best methods to dispose of your waste that can not be recycled, helps to minimise the impact of your waste.

The areas that need measured are:-

• The types and quantities of waste your organisation produces
• The efficiency of your processes
• How your waste is then processed and the outputs

The areas for prioritisation are those that have legal requirements such as Effluents and Hazardous waste.
