Advanced Seeing Significant Growth In Education Sector

May 08, 2015

Business software applications and services provider Advanced Business Solutions has revealed it has seen a 13% increases in the adoption of its solutions across the education sector.

The information came to light in the firm’s Financial Year 2014/15 results, revealing its financial management software’s growing popularity amongst educational organisations.

Advanced already supplies a large range of clients within the public and not-for-profit sectors such as local authorities, NHS Trusts and charities, as well as customers within the education sector.

Those who selected the company’s financial management solutions in 2014 include Burnley College and NPTC Group of Colleges.

Burnley has reportedly saved four days a month in man hours due to increased efficiencies after implementing OpenAccounts and eBis.

Meanwhile, the NPTC Group of Colleges is said to have achieved efficiency savings of £100,000 after going paperless with the help of OpenAccounts and eBis.

“We are pleased to be building our presence within the education sector and seeing more colleges and universities benefitting from using Advanced’s technology,” claimed the firm’s public sector and enterprise division managing director Dean Dickinson.

“At a time when these organisations are still under pressure to cut costs, investing in the right finance system can play a key role in helping to deliver substantial saving.

“In this new financial year we are already seeing an increase in demand from colleges and universities, which are looking for innovative ways to maximise control and achieve efficiencies,” he added.

Other Advanced Divisions Popular In Education Sector

Advanced also supplies software designed for the education sector via Compass Computer Consultants, which it acquired in February 2014, and Advanced Learning, both of which fall under the Advanced Business Solutions group.

More than 90% of further education colleges in England use software from Compass, which has experience a 28% profit growth and 60% growth in licence sales during FY 14/15.
