Ark Schools Chooses Civica For IT Contract

Ark Schools, a Trust that built a network of academies offering high quality education to children, has chosen tech firm Civica for a five-year £17m IT contract.

The Trust was set up in 2004, aiming to provide children of all backgrounds with the necessary skills for university.

Civica said it will deliver managed services to the organisation’s academies and business units, both nationally and internationally.

It will be providing outsourced IT services covering 2500 staff and 14,500 students across 27 primary and secondary UK academies.

“This agreement underpins our main aim of delivering great teaching and learning that enables our pupils to expand their education horizons, as well as improve university and career opportunities,” claimed COO at Ark Schools, Diana Gerald.

“We will be able to continue to grow and invest our resources in the things that matter – improving education for all,” Gerald added.

“Academies and Trusts want to deliver outstanding results and focus increasingly tight resources on educational outcomes,” claimed Lee Burley, Civica’s manager director of education.

He added that the new deal will allow Ark Schools to efficiently streamline administrative capabilities, vital in maintaining outstanding performance.

Ark Schools Set For The Future

Burley also claimed the partnership will see services enhanced, along with a framework for future growth and success.

Civica are intending to help the Trust deliver a number of new projects as well, supporting the planned growth as more academies are added.

The firm says that it will be reviewing infrastructure across the Ark estate, before determining the best solution for each academy.
