Compass And U-Explore Partner Up For Better Education

Oct 03, 2014

Education software provider Compass Computer Consultants has paired up with careers advice and guidance firm U-Explore.

Compass customers will now have access to U-Explore’s career guidance search engine of the same name and this will integrate seamlessly with Compass products such as ProMetrix, ProMonitor and ProPortal.

“We recognised that U-Explore is the leader in providing a national careers and guidance software,” claimed Compass managing director Andy Makeham.

“Our partnership with them will ensure both students and staff benefit from a reliable, unified system that links careers guidance with student and college records,” he added.

U-Explore is a learning platform licensed to schools and colleges across the UK that allows students aged 11 and upwards to build a profile based on their likes and interests.

The information the input to the platform can then be used to create a roadmap for the student of the best way to achieve their career plans, for example via qualifications or work experience.

Education providers can then view this information to help provide relevant support and guidance for students, as well as proving to Ofsted that they are providing quality careers information.

U-Explore can be used alongside the Compass Pro solutions, which enable processes such as student monitoring and support.

Compass “Good Standing” In UK Education Sector

Compass claims its solutions are used in around 90% of colleges in the country, while U-Explore is used in 600 schools and colleges.

“Compass is well-respected with a strong client base in further education sector and shares out philosophy of working in partnership with customers,” claimed Andy Pickles, U-Explore CEO.

“Compass products are already popular with many colleges and its seamless integration with U-Explore means we can further increase the efficiency and usability of the search engine,” he added.
