Compass To Launch “Next Generation” ERP System

Nov 12, 2014

Further education software provider Compass claims it will be launching a “next generation” enterprise resource planning (ERP) system for further education organisations.

Known as ProUnify, the new programme will offer integration of student records, finance, HR and payroll processes with an expected related date of spring 2015.

“We have developed an excellent relationship with the further education sector in the last 25 years and we understand their needs,” claimed Andy Makeham, Compass managing director.

“ProUnify completes the missing piece in the education technology software puzzle and arrives at a time where colleges are under pressure to work smarter to achieve operation targets due to funding cuts.

“The system will help to substantially reduce data entry time, helping staff to become more efficient and creating better communication and improve cross-departmental transparency.

According to the firm, its new ERP system will be the most complete, fully integrated business system available to the further education sector and will enable organisations to streamline processes and save money and time.

ProUnify unifies Compass’ full student information system ProSolution with its parent company Advanced’s finance, HR and payroll software.

It hopes that this will lead to streamlined processes, communication and transparency in educational organisations, not only saving money, but freeing up staff time to focus on more value-adding activities.

Software “Needed” By Further Education Sector

“There is a significant need in the sector for further education software specialist to develop a complete unified ERP system,” claimed Dr Jim Evans, assistant principal of information and planning at City of Westminster College, which has already approached Compass about trialling a more unified solution.

“Compass has shown through its development of high quality solutions over the years that it is uniquely disposed to provide the most effective system.

“The value of the company’s unparalleled support for colleges is critical. We are looking forward to working with them and to the launch of ProUnify in 2015,” Dr Evans added.
