Healthcare App Can Diagnose And Deliver Medicines

May 13, 2015

A new healthcare app is set to transform the UK health industry with its ability to diagnose and deliver medicines.

Dr Now, developed by the Now Healthcare Group, is launching soon and will connect users with professionally-qualified doctors through video-based remote consultation.

It aims to provide adults and children with the diagnosis and prescription medicines they need when they need them.

The app combines cloud technology with the experience and knowledge of seasoned medical professionals to provide an efficient service to those feeling unwell for a quick, remote diagnosis or a pre-planned appointment to fit in with their busy daily lives.

Dr Now is the first platform of its kind to be approved by the Care Quality Commission and has the potential to revolutionise the NHS with its long-term aim of ensuring all patients are diagnosed and on the way to recovery within a one hour window.

The app will be available on iOS and Android devices and allows patients to discuss their symptoms with professional doctors from the comfort of their own home or while on the move.

Dr Now has national and regional city centre-based distribution hubs to give patients the option of overnight delivery of medicines to their home or office.

For patients in London, prescriptions can be delivered in two to four hours after diagnosis and instant delivery for the rest of the UK is currently in beta testing phase with a full launch schedule for October 2015.

Safe And Secure

The app is led by Dr Andrew J Thornber who has over 20 years of practising experience, with a team of fully-qualified doctors available to see via the app.

Each doctors is trained in effective ways of providing diagnosis through remote appointments and doctors can assure patients of total privacy as Dr Now has a strict security system that ensures medical records are kept completely safe.
