Smaller businesses tend to be a lot more agile than their larger counterparts, and it is possible to see this contrast in the way they approach storage. According to Steve, SMEs definitely require different storage strategies to bigger organisations.
On the whole, SMEs have been keen to move their business operations to the cloud, while larger enterprises are strongly committed to their existing - possibly outdated - infrastructure.
Steve says that there are plenty of ways for organisations to be more flexible around storage; the key is understanding exactly what you want to achieve.
Finally, he explained the differences between scale-up and scale-out approaches, and why one system is much more effective than the other.
