InfoSaaS Updates Its Cloud-Based Risk Assessment Software

Mar 06, 2015

“Information Security as a Service” company InfoSaaS has updated its cloud-based risk assessment software for the ISO27001 standard.

In November last year, the firm launched the product claiming it could help organisations simply, quickly and cost-effectively identify and manage IT security risks.

The software can also help businesses achieve and retain the ISO27001 certification, an international standard for information security.

InfoSaaS has now released an updated version of the product which improves upon its aim of helping organisations identify assets and risk asses a wide range of vulnerabilities and threats while enhancing their capability to implement and manage appropriate security controls.

The system is based upon a proven methodology that has already delivered many successful ISO27001 certifications.

The company uses the cloud to combine security, flexibility and cost effectiveness and removes the need to procure, deploy and manage expensive hardware and software solutions.

The software is readily accessible from any device type, anywhere, anytime and offers a single view of an organisation’s information security compliance status.

G-Cloud Increasing Need For Certification

“With the success of G-Cloud, more SMEs are now providing cloud services directly to the public sector,” explained InfoSaaS head of security practice Martin Poole.

“However, many find attaining an acceptable level of information assurance to be a difficult task,” Poole claimed.

“Progression towards ISO27001 certification is the most recognised route to achieve credibility in this important area. Traditionally, achieving such a certification has been a challenge.

“At InfoSaaS, we have commoditised many years of practical ISO27001 implementation experience into a user-friendly service, which has already helped a number of organisations to successfully gain formal certification,” he added.
