Mobile App Of The Day: Dokmee Mobile
Here's one for the business users out there. Document management – it can be a bit of a nightmare, can't it? Whatever happened to the paperless office? I try hard to live the paperless office dream, but that means making sure everything I need is electronic, and that I can get to it from anywhere. It sometimes feels like a big ask.
Dokmee is one solution to that problem. Do note that you have to buy into the whole ecosystem for the smartphone (and tablet) based apps to work for you – all the details are at www.dokmee.net. Once you are in, there are free apps for Windows Phone, iPhone and Android that let you access your "electronic file cabinet."
The apps are about more than just getting into the files, though. You can search as well as browse by folder, upload and link through to email from within the app. Of course there's encryption to help with data security, too.
