UNIT4 Appoints New CTO And CFO

Aug 06, 2014

Global software solutions provider UNIT4 has completed a leadership reshuffle with the appointment of a new CTO (chief technology officer) and CFO (chief financial officer).

The firm’s decision to hire new senior management comes as part of its efforts to increase its “innovation and growth.”

Ray Leclercq is assuming the role of CFO, taking responsibility for group finance and legal affairs.

According to UNIT4, he will play an essential role in the future growth of the company as it transitions to a subscription-based business model due to SaaS (software-as-a-service) revenue accelerates ahead of licence revenue growth.

Leclercq comes to the firm from private equity company The Gores Group where he was managing director of European operations.

Prior to this, he was CFO and chief transformation officer at communications business Unify and has also worked as CFO for BT Global Services and BT Openreach.

UNIT4’s new CTO is Daan Snijders, who has also been appointed as executive vice president effective from 1st September.

According to the firm, he will be responsible for driving product innovation efforts, managing global product management and development teams, as well as overseeing the transition to SaaS and an extended focus on cloud and mobile capabilities.

Snijders joins UNIT4 from enterprise software solutions firm Infor where he was responsible for enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM) and product lifecycle management (PLM).

“Committed To Innovation”

“We are committed to substantial future investment in innovation to ensure that UNIT4 remains on its ambitious growth path and continues to meet the demands of enterprise software users,” claimed UNIT4 CEO Jose Duarte.

“Organisations around the world are focused on delivering a new, consumer grade experience to their users, clients and citizens based on social, mobile, analytics and cloud technologies.

“With a new and experienced leadership team focused on innovation and growth, we will achieve our ambition to become the service industry’s ‘go-to company’ for enterprise software,” he added.
