UNIT4 Attempts To Accelerate Cloud ERP Growth

Aug 26, 2014

Software solutions provider UNIT4 has announced it is intending to increase its cloud business growth after SaaS (Software as a Service) revenues surpassing perpetual licences by 40% in the first half of 2014.

To build on its “momentum” and “innovation,” the firm has claimed it will be doubling the research and development resources devoted to its Agresso ERP (enterprise resource planning) platform.

“The enterprise software market is at an historical turning point. New technologies and business models have emerged and are determining the future business software leaders,” claimed Jose Duarte, UNIT4 CEO.

“Our present and future investments in innovation represent our commitment to delivering a strong future to our clients, partners and employees. Building on our success to date, we will invest even more aggressively in innovation and research and development,” he added.

Changes “In Line With Global Trends”

According to the company, organisations globally are embracing social, mobile, analytics and cloud solutions in an effort to modernise the customer experience.

In line with these developments, UNIT4 says it is strengthening its research and development capacity, building next generation ERP resources that it claims will meet the demands of users.

It will also be extending its vertical specialisation for industries including education, professional services, not for profit, wholesale, accountancy and public services.

To do this, UNIT4 will be doubling its Agresso product line within the next two years, claiming this system allows easy business change, user experience and flexible deployment options for public, private and hybrid cloud solutions.

The firm recently completed a reshuffle of its management team.
