Apr 11, 2014

BT has teamed up with Unify to bring a unified communications and collaboration solution to a number of key markets across Europe specifically aimed at businesses.

The agreement sees BT add Unify’s OpenScape suite of products and services to its enterprise offering, and this will be combined with BT’s networked IT expertise and professional services skills. BT will also join Unify’s “award winning” Go Forward partner program.

“This agreement with BT places the customer at the forefront of our business and our thinking,” said Trevor Connell, MD for the West region at Unify. “Together with BT, we are ensuring that customers have ready access to the best in tailored unified communications and collaborations solutions to support their flexible business needs. Combining our OpenScape portfolio with BT’s network capability and market reach has already delivered value to customers, and our new relationship enables us to build on this success.”

In essence the solution helps make it easier for enterprise customers in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Germany to benefit from the cost savings and productivity that can come from using a joint solution.

When it comes to the UK market there will be a strong focus on the government and healthcare sectors, OpenScape’s Unified Communications and Collaboration Solution at the heart of the new offering.

The product is made up of voice, mobility, video, web conferencing, chat, messaging, and presence applications that aim to simplify the complex nature of IT systems so they are easy to manage and in turn improve business performance.

BT and Unify have worked together in the past on a variety of products across the private and public sectors that have included assisting both types of organisation in moving across Europe through OpenScape’s suite of services.
