Companies House Reveals Preferred Gateway Solution

Apr 23, 2015

Companies House, the government agency responsible for incorporating and dissolving limited companies in the UK, has revealed the product it prefers to use for its gateway.

Data provided by the Department has revealed that a large number of firms are using legal software supplier Advanced Legal’s cloud-based Software as a Service (SaaS) Laserform Hub product to submit forms.

After launching in December 2014, more than 95% of mortgage filings have been submitted via the software, making it the Companies House preferred solution.

Those using the Laserform software have claimed that the submission process has lessened from 21 days to just 24 hours since the Hub was implemented.

Laserform Hub also allows users to monitor the current status of all forms across the organisation, giving them greater insight and control of their day-to-day submission activities.

Advanced decided to launch the product to meet the needs of law firms looking to benefit from the government’s digital by default strategy.

It allows for electronic form submission to multiple government portals from a single location and provides one place for firms to manage multiple agency submissions.

Government agencies offered support while the Hub was being developed, offering law firms a seamless process from submission to completion.

The product also offered an additional layer of benefits including dashboard reporting and alerts that are not available through direct submission routes.

Meeting Customers’ Needs

“This government data clearly places the Laserform Hub as an established product in the legal market,” claimed Advanced Legal managing director Doug Hargrove.

“It is a clear indicator that we are continuing to meet the needs of the market and satisfying a government requirement.

“Companies House is only the beginning. Over the coming months the Laserform Hub will launch a combined process for Stamp Duty and Land Registry applications with many more integrations planned for the future.

“It’s an exciting development for Advanced Legal and one that will benefit every legal firm in the UK,” Hargrove added.
