ForeScout Becomes Socitm Supplier Partner

May 07, 2015

Continuous monitoring and mitigation solutions supplier ForeScout has been selected as a Silver Supplier Partner of the Society of Information Technology Management (Socitm).

Socitm, which represents those working in IT in the public sector, seeks to maximise the effectiveness of IT and digital delivery of services for public benefit.

It selected ForeScout as a partner because its CounterACT platform addresses the advanced network security requirements of numerous UK public sector organisations.

The firm is currently working with Gloucestershire County Council (GCC) to aid it in Public Services Network (PSN) Code of Connection compliance.

"Socitm is pleased to welcome ForeScout to our select group of supplier partners as a Silver Partner. We are sure that ForeScout's expertise in continuous monitoring will add significant value to the bank of knowledge our members are able to access as they seek to overcome service delivery challenges," claimed Socitm commercial relationship manager Nigel Bragg.

"We look forward to ForeScout contributing to our members' discussions via the Socitm network of regional events and hope that, in turn, ForeScout finds the opportunities for engagement with the public sector audience both insightful and rewarding he added.

Track Record With UK Public Sector

"ForeScout is delighted to have become a Socitm Silver Partner due to the collaborative and synergistic nature of this new partnership," claimed ForeScout public sector UK manager Peter Batchelor.

"We already have a proven track record with government agencies and local authorities in the UK and look forward to working with Socitm members to advise and help in the fight against cyberthreats," he added.

Besides GCC, ForeScout has also helped the Northern Irish Health Trust, Long Road Sixth Form College and Sutton and East Surrey Water.
