HSCIC Choose InTechnology To Supply Enhanced IT Infrastructure

Feb 26, 2014

Technology solutions provider InTechnology has secured a seven-figure deal via G-Cloud to update and improve the Health and Social Care Information Centre’s (HSCIC) IT infrastructure.

It was the company’s offer of an N3 connection - the managed network that underpins the IT services of the NHS – that helped set its bid out from the rest, according to UK press reports.

The firm claims it will deliver significant cost savings, 24/7/365 support, high levels of datacentre and network resilience and adhere to strict government guidelines, all of which will be a huge benefit for HSCIC.

“Our numerous accreditations and proven capability within the healthcare sector is why I believe we are perfectly placed to deliver a contract of this size, offering the HSCIC one of the most flexible, scalable and dynamic IT services available,” said Mark Halpin, business and sales manager at InTechnology.

The company claims its core network is built to withstand six concurrent failures and this will help ensure HSCIC has maximum availability.

The government recently announced it intends to rebrand G-Cloud to the Government Digital Marketplace.
