PSNGB Rebrands, Calls For Safer Public Sector Data Sharing

PSNGB, the trade associations for suppliers to the Public Services Network (PSN), has rebranded and relaunched as Innopsis.  

Alongside announcing its relaunch, Innopsis has called for safer information sharing across the public sector, championing the PSN as a trusted network on which to do this.

The organisation wants to reposition itself as an industry association for companies driving “innovative information sharing” for better public services.

“Innopsis will build upon the progress PSNGB has made in driving forward adoption of PSN throughout central and local government,” claimed the organisation’s chairman Phil Gibson.

“Establishing PSN was just the beginning of our journey. PSN provides a common set of technical and commercial standards together with a Service Management structure to deliver end-to-end services assurance in a multi-customer, multi-supplier environment.

“PSN services will continue to be delivered using the new Network Services framework. This new framework developed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) in consultation with Innopsis, offers more flexibility and greater choice of both services and suppliers to the public sector marketplace,” he added.

The group intends to work with both suppliers and the wider public sector to help ensure established commercial services and service models can be used to facilitate safe information sharing and enable much more efficient and effective public services.

PSN will be championed as the ‘common trusted network’ that the public sector can rely on for safe information sharing and to drive greater savings through efficiency.

Working With Organisations Of All Sizes

Both existing and newer SME suppliers will work with Innopsis to examine how the Internet and mobile technologies can be used to expand collaboration and service transformation safely.

Besides this, organisations are expected to work together to facilitate better business practices and help public organisations deliver against obligations such as integrated health and social care.

Innopsis has also claimed that its members will benefits from hearing directly from Whitehall policy makers and thoughts leader influencing the way technology is used within public services.

It also intends to become a voice for both large and small suppliers to help shape more successful frameworks and procurement processes.
