Security Firm Launches IT Risk Management Software

Nov 27, 2014

A cloud-based risk assessment software for ISO27001 has been launched by “Information Security as a Service” company InfoSaaS.

The firm claims it will now be able to help organisations simply, quickly, and cost-effectively identify and manage IT security risks.

InfoSaaS also says that its new software can make a significant contribution to the achievement and retention of the ISO27001certification, an international standard for information security.

“As organisations and individuals entrust more of their valuable information to IT systems, it is vital that data security is understood and properly managed,” claimed the supplier’s CEO John Godwin.

“With new vulnerabilities and threats being reported on a daily basis, the development and operation of an Information Security Management System is one of the most important commitments an organisation can deliver to protect its business activities and customers,” he added.

According to InfoSaaS, a combination of high-profile security breaches, increasing data protection legislation and demand from customers to prove their data is appropriately protected has caused many businesses to realise their need to properly protect information.

It claims its risk assessment software is capable of delivering successful ISO27001 audits, enables organisations to identify assets and risks and implement appropriate security controls to manage vulnerabilities and threats.

Removing The Challenges Presented By Information Security

The software claims to remove the need for a business to procure, deploy and manage its own hardware and software solution.

InfoSaaS says its cloud-based offering provides security, flexibility and cost effectiveness, as well as being available on any device type, anywhere, anytime, offering a “single pane of glass” through which an organisation can view its information security status.

“Traditionally, achieving ISO27001certification has been a challenge for many organisations, often due to the lengthy nature of the preparation and the common need to engage specialist resources,” claimed Godwin.

“At InfoSaaS, we have commoditised many years of practical ISO27001 implementation experience into a user-friendly service, which has already helped a number of organisations to successfully realise their information security objectives,” he added.
