'Achieving Cashable Savings' Conference held in Leeds

On Thursday 10 May 2007 @UK PLC held an event in Leeds to discuss how to achieve cashable savings within the NHS. The conference was well attended by procurement and finance officials from a variety of NHS organisations. Grant Oliver, the @UK Chief Executive opened the conference held at the Queens Hotel.

Chris Slater, Head of Supplies at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, was the first keynote speaker. He illustrated how cashable savings had been driven through Leeds Teaching Hospitals by a combination of procurement best practices and making full use of @UK’s easy to use and flexible technology solutions.

Simon Lipscomb, @UK’s National Sales Manager’s presentation entitled ‘The Real Issues: What we’ve learnt and how we can move forward’ focused on the technology available to NHS trusts who are keen to make significant savings using eCommerce.

David Alexander from NHS Supply Chain closed the conference with details of NHS Supply Chain’s involvement in eCommerce and eProcurement.
