Chairman Ronald Duncan makes a giant leap for @UK PLC

Jun 15, 2009

To raise funds for the BSES charity (British Schools Exploring) Ronald climbed and then jumped from the top of a London tower block (with a rope!).

The object of the Society is to advance the education of young people by providing inspirational, challenging, scientific expeditions to remote, wild environments and so promote the development of their confidence, teamwork, leadership, and spirit of adventure and exploration.

The event was held on Saturday 13th June at Trellick Tower, London. After spending 30 minutes looking over the edge, Ronald set off at about 13:30pm.

'I went off at around 1:30. Terrifying prior to the off after a 30 minute wait up top, no problems going down apart from singed hands.'

You can view the video of Ronald making his way down the towerblock below.

Ronald raised a total of £724.36 for BSES. For more information on the BSES charity visit their website.
