@UK PLC Awarded ''Certificate of Excellence'' by the Technology Strategy Board of the DTI

A joint @UK and Reading University Project on the use of artificial intelligence in predictive shopping and fraud detection has won a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Certificate of Excellence from the Technology Strategy Board of the Department of Trade and Industry. The project was externally assessed for KTP and received the highest grade of ‘Outstanding’.

The system as developed by Dr John Howroyd building on the previous work by Nils Junker-King and represents a significant new approach to the problem of fraud detection which is an increasingly significant issue with the growth experienced by eCommerce.

Dr John Howroyd now manages the @UK Research department including a further 3 KTP projects building the next generation of search engine.
