Mobile Apps developed with HMRC to help small businesses
HMRC are now using apps to help taxpayers. The HMRC Tax Calculator app allows taxpayers to calculate how much tax they pay and how the Government spends and it is periodically updated with new features. The app can be downloaded for free from Apple's App store or from Google Play.
In addition HMRC have consulted with the software industry and are producing simple record keeping mobile applications for businesses below the VAT threshold which is currently £77,000. These applications are designed to help you with maintaining good records and include links to HMRC guidance related to record keeping that you may find useful. The majority of these applications are free.
