CCS To Develop Specialist Supply Base For Public Services

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has issued a tender to create a specialist public sector supply database of enterprise software for the public sector.

The new framework will cover common enterprise software solutions, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer relationship management (CRM) and electronic document and records management (EDRM) systems.

According to the contract notice, the ‘wider’ public sector such as non-departmental public bodies, NHS organisations and local authorities will have first priority, with central government buyers needing prior CCS consent to use it.

In the tender, CCS claims that public sector bodies require “corporate” software solutions, along with a vehicle to provide complex business solutions for complex business needs that is based around common product types.

It intends for the new register to provide more services and expertise than standard generalist suppliers, giving organisations access to specialist business solutions they might not have had otherwise.

7 Lots For 7 “Business Solutions”

The contract will cover implementation and associated services and these will be divided into 7 lots, including:

• ERP software
• finance software
• HR and payroll software
• CRM software
• data management and reporting software
• enterprise content management (ECM) software
• mobile application solutions.

The initial deal is expected to last two years, with an option to extend for two further terms of 12 months each.

“The authority aims to procure a framework agreement for these requirements in collaboration with the Pro5 Group of professional buying organisations,” says the OJEU notice.
