OrderXchange

OrderXchange Now Called SBXP Punchout

SBXP - stands for Shopping Basket eXchange protocol and is an @UK PLC developed form of punchout.  @UK PLC calls the punchout process orderXchange, and has dedicated sites for both orderXchange and sbxp.

SBXP punchout has enhanced security

The key difference between sbxp and other punchout implementations are that the system uses hash signatures and message authentication credentials so that users can be sure that messages have not been altered and they come from the originating party.

SBXP punchout - Implementation not specification

The other major difference is a set of implementation rather than just a specification. So whilst sbxp is a stable specification, it has been implemented in almost all major web development languages, and so it is a case of one @UK PLC toolkit talking to another @UK PLC toolkit which means there is no disagreement on the implementation of the spec and it is much quicker and easier to just get working.

SBXP Punchout - Toolkit languages

The orderXchange toolkit is available in the following web development languages.

  • ASP
  • Dot Net
  • PHP plus (Zen Cart Module)
  • Perl
  • Python
  • Java
  • c/c++

ASP, Dot Net and Php are well used, the other language implementations do not yet have any customers using them and there may be some issues on first implementation.

SBXP punchout - Onward connectivity

SBXP punchout can be used with the @UK PLC system to connect to all major buying systems including SAP, Oracle, Ariba, Agresso, Civica, Cedar,Coda, Finest,Forte,JD Edwards.Masterpiece, PeopleSoft, QXL, Sun systems, SAGE and many others.

The punchout can be referred to by language of implementation.

  • c# punchout
  • PHP punchout
  • Perl punchout
  • Python punchout
