Our Agreements

EU Procurement

LUPC and its members are contracting authorities under EU Procurement Directives and UK public procurement regulations. All our framework agreements and contracts are EU-compliant.

The consortium seeks to conduct business in a fair, open and transparent manner, upholding the highest standards of integrity and business ethics.  Our director and all our senior contracts managers are qualified members of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS) and as such are bound by CIPS’s code of professional ethics.

LUPC’s Guide to Sourcing and Managing Suppliers

Competitive tender processes allow us to select those suppliers whose products or services offer best value.  Agreements are then managed through to contract expiration or termination.  During the management phase, we work with suppliers to improve the quality of the service offering and reduce overall costs.  This often involves members feeding into review meetings, to help build and maintain strong relationships between buyers and suppliers, and addressing any issues early on.

Our Guide to Sourcing and Managing Suppliers details our procurement process at a high level.  The guide sets out the steps necessary in preparation for a tender exercise; the actual tender process itself; and the basis for implementation and ongoing management of our framework agreements and contracts.
